The production process of seamless steel tubes: The main production process of hot-rolled seamless steel tubes (△Main inspection process): Preparation and inspection of billets △→ Billet heating → Piercing → Rolling → Tube reheating → Set (negative) diameter → Heat treatment △→ Tube straightening → Precision finishing → Inspection △ (Non-destructive, physical and chemical, Taiwan inspection) → Storage.
The primary production process for cold-rolled (drawn) seamless steel pipes: billet preparation → acid pickling and lubrication → cold rolling (drawing) → heat treatment → straightening → finishing → inspection. The general production process for seamless steel pipes can be divided into cold drawing and hot rolling, with the production process for cold-rolled seamless steel pipes typically being more complex. Initially, the tube billet is subjected to three-roll continuous rolling. After extrusion, a胶adhesion test is conducted. If the surface shows no reaction to cracks, the round tube is cut open with a cutting tool, cut to a length of approximately one meter. Blank.
Then, the annealing process is initiated, involving the application of acidic solutions for acid washing and acidification. During the acid washing, it is crucial to monitor for excessive foaming on the surface. If there is a significant amount of foaming, the quality of the steel pipe will not meet the required standards. The appearance of cold-rolled seamless steel pipes is shorter than that of hot-rolled seamless steel pipes. The wall thickness of cold-rolled seamless steel pipes is typically smaller than that of hot-rolled seamless steel pipes, yet they appear brighter on the surface. The surface is also not overly rough and lacks many burrs in the larger diameter areas.
Hot-rolled seamless steel pipes are typically delivered after hot rolling and heat treatment. After quality inspection, the pipes are rigorously hand-selected by staff. Post-inspection, they are oiled on the surface and subjected to multiple cold drawing tests, followed by piercing tests after hot rolling. If the piercing is too large, it requires straightening. Once straightened, the pipes are sent to the flaw detector for testing, formatted, and stored in the warehouse.
