Refrigeration equipment is a device that combines refrigerators with facilities that utilize cold energy. The purpose of designing and constructing refrigeration equipment is to utilize cold energy for cooling food or other items, conducting product performance tests, and low-temperature scientific research experiments. In industrial production, it facilitates certain cooling processes or air conditioning. When goods are cooled or frozen, they release heat, and the outer shell structure of the refrigeration unit also introduces heat during operation. Therefore, to maintain the low-temperature conditions within the refrigeration unit, it is necessary to install refrigerators to continuously remove heat, or absorb heat through the melting of ice or sublimation of dry ice.
What is a Refrigeration Equipment—Condenser
It condenses the high-pressure, high-temperature refrigerant vapor discharged by the compressor into a liquid. Common condensers include three types:
Water-cooled, using water as the cooling agent, includes tubular condensers, annular condensers, and spiral plate condensers.
② Spray type, in addition, water and air are used as coolants, including spray cooling and evaporative condensers.
③ Air-cooled, using air as the cooling agent, i.e., an air condenser.
2. What Refrigeration Equipment – Evaporators
An evaporator, also known as an absorber, is a heat transfer device that cools coolant or cooling objects by boiling and evaporating a liquid refrigerant. Evaporators can be categorized into two types: one is liquid-cooled, used for cooling coolant, which includes shell-and-tube evaporators and various immersion evaporators. Immersion evaporators immerse the entire heat exchange surface into a tank filled with coolant, with a stir tank to enhance heat transfer. The other type is air-cooled, used for cooling air as the refrigerant, and it is divided into tube banks and air coolers. Tube banks are composed of vertical pipes, horizontal pipes, or coils, where the refrigerant boils. Natural convection occurs in the air outside the tubes. Air coolers consist of tube banks and fans.
