Application Fields:
440C stainless steel balls are commonly used in industries that demand high precision and corrosion resistance: aviation, aerospace, bearings, motors, high-precision instruments, valves, and oil.
Features:
The microstructure of the steel belongs to the Martensite type, with high production requirements. There are fewer enterprises in China capable of producing stainless steel 440C. Therefore, those capable of producing 440C material are often hailed with the prestigious title of "special stainless steel." The heat treatment process is relatively complex, prone to cracking, and requires high precision, making it a harder type of stainless steel ball among the steel balls: HRC≧58. The hardness is close to that of ball bearings, yet offers superior rust and corrosion resistance.
Comparison:
The 440 stainless steel ball offers superior rust and corrosion resistance, enhanced hardness, and improved wear resistance as well.
