Key Points to Consider for Glass-Fiber Reinforced Plastic Storage Tanks During Loading, Unloading, and Transportation

1. Typically, transportation is carried out using trucks or rail freight cars. Whether it's vertical or horizontal fiberglass storage tanks, they must be secured to the vehicle with supports and fixing rings. A rubber pad or other soft cushion should be placed between the supports/fixing rings and the tank body. When removing, do not use a hammer or other hard object to directly strike the tank to prevent damage.

2. Lift the fiberglass storage tanks using cranes and soft ropes, placing them on pre-positioned wooden planks on the ground. For smaller tanks, wrap the forks of a forklift with soft pads and use the forklift to position the fiberglass tanks on the planks. All fiberglass tanks should be prevented from making direct contact with the ground, both for the tanks and their accessories.

If temporary installation is not in place, the tank should be placed on a stand and securely fastened to prevent rolling. Safety should be a priority during the installation process of the fiberglass storage tank.
