The principle of deicing salt in melting snow is primarily based on its ability to lower the freezing point of water.

1️⃣ When de-icers (such as sodium chloride, calcium chloride, etc.) are spread on the snow surface, they dissolve quickly in the微量 moisture within the snow layers, forming a salt solution. This process penetrates deep into the snow through osmosis, increasing the moisture content within the snow layers, creating salty snowwater.
