The旁通泄压阀, also known as an electric multi-page regulating valve, is a device used in positive pressure air supply systems to control air volume. Its air volume control is mainly achieved through the forward or reverse rotation of an electric actuator. Common electric actuators include switch-type and analog-type electric actuators, both of which can control air volume and achieve the purpose of controlling the excess pressure value through excess pressure sensors and controllers. So, how do you choose the appropriate electric actuator?
As per pricing:
Analog electric actuators are often 5 to 10 times more expensive than digital electric actuators, with a significant price gap. Therefore, in situations where the budget is limited, it's advisable to prioritize the selection of digital electric actuators.
2. In accordance with technical specifications
Analog electric actuators are typically controlled at 4-20mA or 0(2)-10V, capable of precisely controlling the rotation angle based on the remaining pressure value. They have an inherent advantage in controlling the opening and closing angles of pressure relief valves compared to those using switch-type electric actuators. The switch-type electric actuators have basic functions of forward and reverse rotation but cannot adjust the angle themselves. In projects with higher requirements, it's challenging to meet the angle control needs. However, due to the low cost of switch-type electric actuators, they are used in over 90% of projects.
In response to the issue where on/off type electric actuators cannot control the angle, an intelligent residual pressure controller has been developed. Unlike conventional residual pressure controllers that can only control the forward and reverse operation of on/off actuators, this controller, through the setting of control logic and internal algorithm mechanisms, can make the electric actuator stop running at the right time when meeting the set conditions, thereby achieving the purpose of angle control.
3. Based on the type of residual pressure controller
Commonly available overpressure controllers on the market mostly only match switch-type electric actuators. In actual projects, electric actuators are often configured by ventilation manufacturers, who arrive on the scene before fire protection construction units. Therefore, the procurement timing for overpressure controllers is usually later than that for electric actuators. However, there may be cases where electric actuators, or even bypass pressure relief valves, are not installed or configured before the installation of the overpressure monitoring system. In such situations, it is crucial to pay attention to the control type of the overpressure controller.
The intelligent pressure regulator comes standard with switch and analog control outputs, compatible with the vast majority of electric actuators on the market. This eliminates your concerns about product matching and saves you valuable time in product selection.
