Ten Deburring Methods for Deburring Machines
1. Manual Burr Removal Machine
This is a commonly adopted method by general enterprises, utilizing files, sandpapers, and grinding heads as auxiliary tools. It includes manual filing and pneumatic clamping that is not aligned properly. The labor cost is high, and efficiency is not very high; it is difficult to remove complex cross holes. The technical requirements for workers are not very demanding, making it suitable for products with small burrs and simple product structures.
2. Deburring of stamping dies
Deburring is performed by using a stamping press to create punching molds. The production of molds involves certain costs (rough and fine molds) and may also require the creation of forming molds. It is suitable for products with simple parting surfaces and offers higher efficiency and deburring effectiveness than manual methods.
3. Deburring and Finishing
This deburring process includes magnetic deburring, vibration deburring, sandblasting deburring, and rolling edge deburring, which are widely used in enterprises. However, it may not remove burrs completely, potentially requiring further manual handling or other methods to remove residual burrs. It is suitable for bulk production of small products.
4. Freezing and Deburring
Rapidly toughen burrs through cooling, followed by removing them with a jet. Suitable for products with thin burr walls and small items.
5. Hot Explosion Deburring Machine
Also known as thermal deburring and explosive deburring. A portion of natural gas is introduced into the equipment furnace, where it explodes instantly under certain media and conditions, utilizing the energy from the explosion to dissolve and remove burrs. The operation requires high technical skill, has low efficiency, and may cause side effects such as rust and deformation; it is mainly used for high-precision parts.
6. Deburring Machine
The equipment is not expensive, suitable for simple space structures and regular deburring positions.
7. Chemical Deburring
Utilizing the principles of electrochemical reactions, the system automatically selects and completes the deburring process for metal parts. Suitable for hard-to-remove internal burrs, as well as minor burrs on products like pump bodies and valve bodies (thickness less than 7 lines).
8. Electrolytic Deburring
Electrolytic deburring method for metal parts, which involves the use of an electrolyte with a certain degree of corrosiveness. Nearby the burrs, electrolysis also occurs, leading to the loss of the original luster on the surface and potentially affecting dimensional accuracy. After deburring, the workpiece should be cleaned and protected against rust. Electrolytic deburring machines are suitable for deburring concealed or complexly shaped parts, offering high production efficiency with deburring times typically ranging from a few seconds to a couple of minutes. They are applicable for deburring gears, connecting rods, valve bodies, crankcase oil passages, and rounding off sharp corners.
9. High-pressure Water Jet Deburring
Using water as the medium, burrs and loose edges produced after processing can be removed instantly by its impact force, while also achieving the purpose of cleaning.
10. Ultrasonic Deburring
The ultrasonic deburring machine generates a momentary high pressure to remove burrs. Primarily designed for minor burrs, typically those requiring microscopic observation, the ultrasonic method can be employed to eliminate them.
