Glass fiber reinforced plastic (RPM) pipes, also known as glass wool sand-filled pipes. They primarily use glass fiber and its products as reinforcement materials, with basic materials including unsaturated polyester resins, epoxies, and other high molecular components.石英砂and calcium carbonate, among other inorganic non-metallic granular materials, serve as the filling agents. The pipe lengths are available in 6m and 12m. Manufacturing methods include fixed-length winding, centrifugal casting, and continuous winding. Classification and categorization can be done based on the production method, pressure grade PN, and stiffness grade SN of the product.
Glass-steel pipes have found applications in industries such as oil, electricity, petrochemicals, papermaking, urban water supply and drainage, industrial wastewater treatment, seawater desalination, and gas transportation, due to their smooth inner surfaces, low energy consumption during transmission, ease of transportation and installation, low maintenance costs, and overall low cost.
As China's urbanization accelerates, facing the balance and protection of population, resources, and the environment, there has been an increasing investment in urban infrastructure year by year. In line with the needs of science and technology, the variety and specifications of pipes and fittings are continuously expanding, with production volumes rising. Particularly, the development of plastic pipes is rapid, with glass-steel pipes being one of them.
