Stainless Steel Pipe Connection - Extrusion Fitting

Compression Fitting

Compression-type connection is a method of sealing pipe joints through cold extrusion. It involves inserting a pipe pre-fitted with a sealing ring into the socket of a fitting, then applying pressure around the socket's connection section from the outside. During the extrusion process, the socket's connection section and the inserted pipe deform and sink together, locking tightly to achieve an effective seal between the pipe and fitting. ① Clamp-type connection: The U-shaped groove at the end of the clamp-type fitting is fitted with a special rubber sealing ring. During installation, the stainless steel pipe is inserted into the socket fitting until it reaches the locating step. A clamp tool is then used to simultaneously extrude the clamp section on one or both sides of the U-shaped groove. The rubber sealing ring, upon being extruded, provides the sealing function, while the simultaneous contraction and deformation of the fitting and pipe material (forming a hexagonal shape in cross-section) serve as a locating and fixing function, effectively achieving the connection of stainless steel pipes.

The annular, flanged connection involves inserting a pipe fitted with a cylindrical elastic seal into the socket of a flanged pipe fitting. Using a tool, pressure is applied externally along the circumference of the socket, causing it to locally indent and deform along with the pipe, compressing the sealing section of the socket to achieve a tight and sealed connection between the pipe and fitting.

Compression-type connection features: Its advantages include ease of operation, simple installation, high connection strength, and strong resistance to mechanical damage; it has a small operating radius, requiring minimal operational space, and can be installed in special areas such as pipeline shafts, ceilings, and trenches; however, its drawbacks are that the seals and pipe fittings are not integral components, necessitating careful attention to their sealing effectiveness during installation, and they cannot be disassembled.

Applicable Range: DN100 and below, suitable for surface mounting or concealed installation.
