As environmental awareness grows, urban waste is now sorted and disposed of properly, reflecting a city's civilization and development. That's why we often see large waste bins in cities, where most household waste is collected and processed. Waste bin design follows certain standards. So, what are the design standards for residential waste bins as discussed on our online community?
What are the design standards for a waste bin?
The design standards for the community waste shed are stipulated by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development in the CJJT47-2016 "Technical Regulations for Waste Transfer Stations," which states that the distance between the waste shed and adjacent buildings must be no less than 8 meters.
2. The waste room lacks a wastewater drainage network, so the liquid within the waste room cannot seep into the ground. If the liquid from the waste room were to渗入地下, it would negatively impact the ecological environment of the community, potentially contaminating the groundwater. Therefore, our waste rooms are typically lined with tiles or steel plates at the bottom.
The size of the waste room must be reasonable, and the access to the waste bins should be convenient.
4. The garbage room should be equipped with certain flushing facilities for easy cleaning.
5. The location of residential waste bins should be downwind of the city.
6. Residential waste rooms should be located on routes that are easily accessible and convenient for scheduled collection.
7. Residential community waste rooms must be arranged as discreetly as possible, away from main entrances and densely populated residential buildings, and close to secondary entrances. The parking lots and fences of residential communities should be near municipal roads to minimize the impact on residents during waste collection.
8. There should be an area for waste collection vehicles outside the waste room, and a green waste area. The size of the waste area is provided by the property management. Drainage and water supply designs should be considered for the areas awaiting cleanup.
9. If the waste room is located in the basement garage, a separate ventilation system should be installed. Additionally, the waste room, collection area, and green waste area should be isolated from the garage to minimize interference.
