Next, let's share with you the construction process of geogrids from Tai'an Wolong Engineering Materials Co., Ltd.
I. Geotextile Grid Construction Requirements
Geotextile格栅 is suitable for roadbed reinforcement in highways, municipal roads, railways, airports, and more.
Strengthening the subgrade effectively distributes the load, enhancing the stability, load-bearing capacity, and service life of the subgrade.
2. Prevent the loss of subgrade materials to avoid subgrade deformation or even fracture.
It can withstand greater variable loads.
4. Suitable for various soils, eliminates the need for off-site materials, saving time and effort, and boasts simple and quick construction.
Geotextile Grid Construction Requirements:
Firstly, the bottom of the slope must be leveled, roots and grass removed, holes filled, and the local height difference of the bottom flatness should not exceed 10cm. At one end of the slope, sandbags should be stacked evenly. The gaps between the bags should be filled with earth. The sand filling rate of the sandbags should be 70%-80%. Sandbags can serve as retaining walls and formwork, as well as reinforce the slope.
In the slope-end mold, the mold is composed of rectangular strips and T-shaped strips, which do not require connection. However, wedges can be inserted between the long strips and L-shaped steel plates, facilitating disassembly when the mold is taken apart.
Secondly, geogrid anchoring at the slope end: The transverse length of the geogrid at the slope end is 1.5-2.0 meters. When the fill height reaches 2-3 layers, the geogrid is anchored in the fill, and then the filling is continued with the folded end buried in the soil. Generally, when the slope angle reinforced with glass fiber geogrid is less than 45 degrees, it is not necessary to wrap the geogrid to ensure local stability of the slope.
