FCC-ID. Post the new policy, how much will the new FCC certification cost?
The first step is to differentiate whether the product is for FCC-SDOC or FCC-ID.
1. Standard Products.
If products such as scales, humidifiers, vacuum cleaners, and electric fans lack wireless functionality, they can be certified with the FCC-SDOC.
2. Wireless Products.
Products such as smartphones, wireless remote controls, Bluetooth speakers, and tablets are eligible for FCC-ID certification.
3. Other types of wireless products.
This refers to products with USB interfaces and data transfer capabilities, which can operate with or without wireless functionality. It is recommended to conduct both FCC-SDOC and FCC-ID certifications concurrently.
Step two is to assess the costs of different FCC certifications based on product categories.
1. FCC-SDOC certification for general products, fees approximately 2,000-4,000 yuan, with a turnaround time of 10-15 working days.
2. Wireless products, such as smartphones, wireless remote controls, Bluetooth speakers, tablets, etc., require a FCC-ID certification over 5,000 yuan, with a processing period of approximately 4 weeks.
