Shanghai Sida Science & Instrument Co., Ltd. was established through the industrialization of a national scientific research project focused on the precision thermostatic bath for polymer viscosity experiments at 0.01℃. This project was undertaken by Mr. Yao Hanliang, a faculty member and researcher from the Automatic Control Department of the Second Polytechnic University of Shanghai, in 1990. It was approved by the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission in 1992, marking the end of the history of having no qualified basic equipment for viscosity experiments in China.
