Water Meter Installation

Select the correct diameter for water meters.

2. Horizontal installation, with the surface facing up, the direction of the arrow on the casing aligns with the water flow. The installation should be in a location that avoids direct sunlight, flooding, freezing, and contamination, and should be convenient for disassembly and meter reading. Ensure that the new pipeline is thoroughly flushed of sand, cotton threads, and other debris before installing the water meter to prevent any potential meter malfunctions.

3. Valves should be installed upstream and downstream of water meters, and ensure they are fully open during use.

4. Necessary straight pipe sections or equivalent rectifiers must be installed upstream and downstream of the water meter. The length of the upstream straight pipe section must not be less than 10D, and the length of the downstream straight pipe section must not be less than 5D (D is the nominal diameter of the water meter). For eddy currents caused by bends or centrifugal pumps, rectifiers must be installed before the straight pipe sections.

5. When installing water meters, ensure that the outlet of the downstream pipeline is more than 0.5 meters above the water meter to prevent inaccurate measurement caused by insufficient water flow inside the pipeline.

6. The water meter boasts excellent anti-blocking performance, but is sensitive to sediment and weeds in the pipeline. It is advisable to avoid such conditions during use. If sediment and weeds are present in the pipeline, they should be promptly cleared to prevent them from affecting the normal measurement of the water meter.

Cautionary Notes

After battery replacement, the moisture-proof cover must be securely closed and the screws tightened; otherwise, the meter will not function and the card swipe will display E--5.

2. Regularly inspect the operation of smart water meters, and be mindful of frost prevention during winter.

3. Customers with smart water meters installed on pipes but not yet in use, or those who have not used water for an extended period (over a week), are advised to close the valves on both ends of the smart water meter. The company assumes no responsibility for any consequences resulting from this action.

If there is a discrepancy between the electronic display and the dial on the smart water meter, or if the smart water meter malfunctions, the dial reading shall be taken as the standard.
