What are the tips for buying fire-resistant doors?
Techniques include inspecting the appearance. Steel fire doors are securely welded with evenly distributed weld points; the outer surface is smooth and sleek. There should be product markings, quality inspection markings, and quality certification (approval) markings in place. Qualified wooden fire doors should have a complete appearance, free of damage, with a clean surface, no saw marks, burrs, or hammer marks; the mitered corners and joints should be tight and flat.
Zao is a number. The external dimensions of the qualified product should be less than or equal to the external dimensions specified in the sample description, the thickness of the door leaf should be greater than or equal to the thickness specified in the sample description, and the width of the door frame should be greater than or equal to the width specified in the sample description. The side walls of the door frame should also be greater than or equal to the width of the door frame. The external dimensions of the fire-resistant glass should be less than or equal to the external dimensions specified in the sample description, and the thickness of the fire-resistant glass should be greater than or equal to the thickness specified in the sample description.
The third tip is to inspect the seals. Qualified steel and wooden fire doors should be equipped with fireproof sealing strips. These strips should be straight, not arched, and should come with a qualified inspection report issued by a national inspection authority.
The fourth tip is to estimate weight. Quality fire doors are typically heavier, while those that are excessively light are usually poor-quality products.
The fifth step is to inspect certificates. Fire doors are products included in the Type Approval system. These products must undergo type testing before being sold. A standard Type Test Certificate provides a detailed description of the sample's size, composition, materials, and product photos. In actual purchases, it is mandatory to obtain the Type Test Certificate from the manufacturer.
