Construction Method

1. Basic Treatment

(1) Clean the base thoroughly, removing any substances that hinder adhesion such as loose dust and oil stains.

(2) If the base has significant depressions, pre-leveling is required. The repair layer's strength should not be less than C20 concrete, and the flatness should meet the construction requirements.

(3) Prior to construction, the ground should be pre-watered and moistened. One hour before construction, clean the area with a cotton cloth or blow away any standing water with compressed air, ensuring no visible water remains.

（4) Apply the primer evenly to the base surface in two coats. After the first coat is mostly dry (slightly sticky to the touch), apply the second coat. Once the second coat is dry and slightly sticky, proceed with the casting operation (the two coats should be applied in crisscross patterns).

2. Stir

(1) Polymer self-leveling mortar is pre-mixed evenly. Stir it strictly according to the recommended water ratio of 21-23, ensuring it is well-mixed until self-leveling is achieved before use.

(2) When mixing self-leveling polymer mortar, mechanical mixing should be used as much as possible. There are two types of mixing methods:

① Use a mortar mixer: Add 2/3 of the water and mix for 2-3 minutes, then add the remaining water and mix until uniform. The mixing time should exceed 4 minutes. The mortar mixer may introduce air bubbles during mixing; if necessary, let it stand for a moment to allow most bubbles to dissipate before proceeding with the construction.

② Use a hand drill-type mixer: The drill power should not be less than 1000W, and the mixing drum should be made of steel plate with a diameter of 320-350mm. First, pour water and 2/3 of the material into the drum, mix for about 30 seconds, then add the remaining material and mix together, with a total mixing time of 4-6 minutes. While mixing, move the mixer up, down, left, and right to ensure the material stuck to the bottom and sides of the drum is well-mixed. However, do not let the blades exceed the slurry level to avoid excessive air intake.

3. Construction

(1) The material should be applied with a thickness of 3mm to 10mm, not less than 3mm.

(2) The mixed slurry is evenly poured onto the ground, and a scraper is used to assist in leveling. A defoaming roller is then rolled over to dissipate bubbles. When the area is large, wear nail shoes to enter the construction site.

(3) When the construction area is large, expansion joints can be预留 in the construction site.

(4) Clean the equipment thoroughly after use.

4. Maintenance

After casting, apply the curing agent immediately or cover with a plastic film after the casting material has reached the final set, and then cover it with wet hay bags to maintain moisture.

(2) When using plastic film covering, the surface should be tightly sealed to maintain condensation inside the plastic film.

(3) Irrigation and maintenance should not be less than 7 days, and the frequency should keep the casting moist.

(4) The curing water for self-leveling polymer mortar material should be the same as the mixing water.

5. Cautionary Notes

(1) Strictly control the construction time during the addition and stirring process.

(2) Do not add water to the hardened paste.

(3) The casting body must not have any debris fall onto the self-leveling surface before reaching initial setting.

(4) Avoid outdoor construction during rainy weather and direct sunlight on the self-leveling surface.

(5) Construction temperature should be maintained between 10°C and 30°C.
