(1) Determine the basic module dimensions for logistics
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Central Secretariat and European countries have basically recognized 600mm x 400mm as the basic modular size. Once the basic modular size is determined, it provides a scientific basis for the coordination and collaboration among various stages of equipment manufacturing, facility construction, and logistics systems. The standard modular size for logistics systems established by ISO includes: ① The basic modular size for logistics systems is 600mm x 400mm; ② The basic modular size for logistics packaging is 1200mm x 1000mm (primary), with allowances for 1200mm x 800mm and 1100mm x 1100mm (pallets).
(2) Determine Logistics Module
The logistics module, also known as the basic module size of containers, is derived from a series based on 600mm x 400mm. It can also be derived from the division series of trucks or large containers, as long as it adheres to the fundamental module of 600mm x 400mm.
