Ring core inductor, for convenience, often requires air gap, and the size of the air gap is highly related to the inductance value. Special paint must be used to prevent the cut from bursting open. The core is tightly wound, and the entire strip is wound.

Ring transformers are primarily used as power transformers and isolation transformers. They have a complete series available internationally and are widely employed in computers, medical equipment, telecommunications, instruments, and lighting. Ring transformers offer excellent performance-to-price ratios, good output characteristics, and strong anti-interference capabilities.
Ring-core transformers: Standard, Economic, and Isolation types.
1) Standard power transformer series with capacity ranging from 8 to 1500VA, featuring a low voltage regulation and a full-load operating temperature rise of only 40°C, allowing for short-term overload operation. Suitable for high-demand applications. The primary and secondary windings are insulated with B-grade (130°C) polyester film, requiring at least three layers of insulation tape, and capable of withstanding an AC withstand voltage test of 4000V for 1 minute.
2) Economy power transformers series with capacity ranging from 50 to 1500VA, aiming to reduce cost while maintaining performance, suitable for continuous operation without overload, operating temperature rise of 60°C, insulation material grade A (105°C), with output voltage error less than 3% under full load.
3) The isolation transformer product series has a capacity of 50 to 1000VA, and is further divided into two series: industrial use and medical equipment use. The emphasis of the isolation transformer is on its insulation performance, with at least 4 layers of B-grade polyester film wrapping the primary and secondary windings, offering a breakdown voltage greater than 4000V. All primary leads must be made of double-insulated wire. The transformer's temperature rise is less than 45°C. For medical use, the isolation transformer must meet the above requirements and also comply with the UL544 standard, which requires thermal protection for the primary and secondary windings and a spacing greater than 13mm between the windings and the grounded copper shield.
