ATEX Certification
ATEX is the European directive for "Equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres."
The purpose is to establish a single market within Europe and eliminate trade technical barriers.
Ensure free circulation of equipment intended for potential explosive hazard environments among its member states.
This directive covers mining and non-mining equipment (including mechanical and electrical equipment).
Expand the potential explosive hazard environment to include airborne dust and combustible gases, as well as flammable vapors and mist.
Established basic health and safety requirements for the application of equipment intended for potential explosive environments.
And the conformity assessment procedures that must be adopted before equipment enters the European market.
The current directive is 2014/34/EU.
Market Access System for Explosion-Proof Products
1. Explosion-proof Certificate System: Applies to all explosion-proof products, utilizing the "type testing" method.
2. CCC Certification: Applicable only to certain explosion-proof products (excluding measuring instruments and explosion-proof lighting), with a method of "Type Testing + Factory Inspection"
3. Coal Mine Safety Mark (MA): Suitable for mining products, adopts the "type testing + factory inspection" method
