Electric motors are the primary power source for water ring vacuum pumps. During operation, temperature rise is a normal phenomenon. However, if the motor temperature is too high, exceeding the normal range, it may indicate an abnormal issue. What could be the cause?

The motor is the main driving force for the operation of the water ring vacuum pump. During operation, an increase in temperature is a normal occurrence. However, if the motor temperature becomes excessively high, exceeding the normal range, it may indicate an abnormal issue. What could be the cause?

Reason:

1. Water ring vacuum pump motors have high power, large working current, and high heat generation.

2. Low fan speed, low air pressure, and low airflow.

Fan blades are fewer, resulting in lower air volume.

4. The motor is coated with dust and oil, reducing its heat dissipation capacity.

5. The bus voltage for the motor of the water ring vacuum pump is 380V. Due to cable voltage drop and uneven load distribution, the actual voltage applied to the motor is only 365V, which results in a low voltage causing higher operating current.

Method:

Regularly clean the dust from the motor of the water ring vacuum pump to maintain the cleanliness of the heat sinks and enhance its heat dissipation capabilities.

The original fan cover is extended by 40cm and an axial flow fan with the same diameter as the fan cover is installed inside.

During operation of the water ring vacuum pump, if the motor temperature is found to be too high, the operation should be stopped immediately and the cause of the fault should be investigated.

The water ring vacuum pump has high vacuum, low flow rate, and is suitable for mines with low pumping volume and high vacuum requirements.
