EPDM rubber products come in a variety of types. Common items such as aluminum alloy door and window seals, automotive seals, rubber hoses, and rubber cables are often made from EPDM. During production, most rubber products are formed using rubber extruders. After extrusion, vulcanization follows to obtain the desired products. However, due to the different types and structures of rubber products, the components of the production lines used vary. For instance, single-extrusion seals for aluminum alloy applications require only one suitable rubber extruder for molding, followed by vulcanization in a 30-meter hot air curing box. In contrast, triple-composite seals for car doors involve not only co-extrusion using two rubber extruders but also steel belt storage racks, steel belt reels, punching machines, cut-off machines, and seal molding machines. The steel belt extends to the triple-composite die, where it is compounded with rubber from the extruders. The compound is then vulcanized in a hot air curing box, cooled with water, and finally processed through punching, cut-off, and molding machines to produce the triple-composite seal. Thus, different rubber products require different production equipment, and the composition of the rubber extrusion line varies accordingly. We must tailor the specific combination of equipment to each product to achieve the desired outcome.
