Meeting Introduction

WPC (Wood Plastic Composite) materials, as a green and environmentally friendly option, boast high strength and hardness, resistance to acids and alkalis, corrosion, and deformation, and are free of formaldehyde. They feature the natural grain, color, and texture of wood, as well as the anti-corrosion, moisture-proof, anti-mold, anti-termite, UV-resistant, wear-resistant, paint-free, one-time molding, and environmentally friendly properties unique to high polymer materials. Their durability surpasses that of conventional wood materials. The global WPC market currently stands at approximately 5.5 million tons, with China accounting for about 3.3 million tons. For eight consecutive years, China has outpaced the United States to become a major global producer and exporter of WPC products. It has been included in the national "12th Five-Year" and "13th Five-Year" development plans, positioning it as one of the strategic emerging industries and a sunrise industry with immense potential. It is primarily distributed in the East China, South China, and Central China regions, with the average annual growth rate of WPC production and sales exceeding 20%.

Based on the development of the plastic wood industry, China Plastic Wood Network, in conjunction with the Chengdu Building and Decoration Materials Expo, held a special plastic wood exchange meeting during the Chengdu exhibition. This plastic wood exchange meeting focused on the theme "Applications of Plastic Wood in Outdoor Building Materials," collaborating with eight major brand companies in the plastic wood industry to create a plastic wood themed event. The aim is to enable more consumers to "understand, choose, and use plastic wood."
