Electric forklifts are powered by electricity, most commonly using rechargeable batteries. These batteries are a type of power storage device, designed to convert limited electrical energy into stored energy for use at a later time. Their working principle involves converting chemical energy into electrical energy. The batteries inside electric forklifts are of this type. It is important to note: never lay batteries on their side! Typically, batteries contain 22-28% dilute sulfuric acid. When placed upright, the electrolyte can cover the plates and leave some space. If laid on their side, some of the electrode plates may be exposed to air, which is harmful to the battery plates. Moreover, most batteries have observation holes or venting ports on the top, making it easy for electrolyte to leak out if placed horizontally.
