The self-priming pump is a type of centrifugal pump with a compact structure, easy operation, stable operation, easy maintenance, high efficiency, long lifespan, and strong self-priming capability. Pipeline installation does not require a bottom valve; before operation, it is only necessary to ensure that the pump body contains a predetermined amount of liquid. Different liquids can use self-priming pumps made of different materials.
The principle of operation for the self-priming pump is that before the pump starts, it is first filled with water inside the pump casing (or the casing already contains water). Once started, the impeller rotates at high speed, causing the water in the impeller channels to flow towards the volute. At this point, a vacuum is formed at the inlet, allowing the inlet check valve to open and air in the suction pipe to enter the pump, traveling through the impeller channels to the outer edge.
