After starting the dredger engine and running at idle for about 10 minutes, once the water temperature, oil temperature, and oil pressure reach the specified requirements, production can begin. With the engine ready to drive the sand pump and an operator in the control room, first, open the 24V main power switch on the dredger's operating cabinet. Then, lower the bridge and suction pipe using the winch on the dredger's bridge, allowing the cutter to sink into the water. Next, start the冲洗水泵 to flush the water. After that, engage the gearbox with the sand pump using the combined switch on the control panel to make the engine drive the gearbox and operate the sand pump. Gradually increase the engine to the specified speed.
During dredger construction and production, the engine room crew should observe the engine room by smelling, listening, looking, and touching to ensure conditions are normal. Check for any strange odors, unusual noises, and whether the engine's monitoring instruments are functioning correctly. Inspect for oil leaks in the hydraulic system, water leaks in the cooling system, and any "three leaks" from the engine. These include water leaks, oil leaks, and gas leaks. Feel the temperature and vibration of moving parts to assess their condition.
