In glass greenhouses, composite materials with high strength, excellent water resistance, and good aging resistance are often used for construction without supports. Therefore, Baidu has expanded the greenhouse area. Moreover, the long-term use of glass greenhouses requires crucial maintenance of seals, skylights, side windows, and many electrical equipment, as well as the coordination of heating, cooling, and irrigation systems with the glass exterior walls!
Glass Link Greenhouses Ventilation System
Natural Ventilation
Greenhouse glass structures rely mainly on natural ventilation to regulate the indoor environment. Large-scale production glass multi-span greenhouses typically feature a double-slope multi-span design, with both side walls and roofs equipped with ventilation windows. The total ventilation area is no less than 15% of the greenhouse's ground area. When more than 30 ridge ventilation windows are open, the sashes can tilt upwards from a horizontal position. A good ventilation effect can be achieved when all windows are fully open, forming 100 angles with the horizontal plane. The ventilation capacity of natural ventilation depends on wind speed, wind direction, the position of ventilation windows, the area of the windows, and the temperature difference between the inside and outside of the greenhouse.
Mandatory Ventilation
Although the majority of the time, the glass greenhouse is adjusted depending on the natural ventilation environment, during the warmer summer months, particularly during temperatures above 33°C, when the natural ventilation alone is insufficient to meet the cooling needs of the greenhouse, forced ventilation becomes necessary along with other cooling measures commonly used in production. This involves the use of forced ventilation fans or other mechanical devices that convert electrical energy into wind power, ensuring a strong airflow for ventilating and cooling the greenhouse solution.
