Lead wire stone baskets are mechanically woven from high corrosion-resistant, high-tensile, and ductile low-carbon steel wire, or wire coated with PVC. The box-like structures made from this mesh are known as stone笼mesh baskets. The diameter of the low-carbon steel wire used, as per ASTM and EN standards, varies according to engineering design requirements, generally ranging from 2.0 to 4.0 mm. The tensile strength of the stone笼mesh wire should be no less than 38 kg/m², the weight of the metallic coating generally exceeds 245 g/m², and the diameter of the edge line of the stone笼mesh panel should be greater than that of the wire diameter. The length of the double twisted portion must not be less than 50 mm to ensure that the metallic and PVC coatings on the twisted wire are not damaged.

The length of the double-stranded braiding section must not be less than 50mm to ensure that the metallic coating and PVC coating on the wire within the braiding section remain intact.

(2) Wire Diameter: Stone笼mesh comes in three wire diameters – mesh wire, edge wire, and binding wire

The wire mesh range is 2mm to 4mm.

2. The edge wire is generally thicker than the mesh wire, with a thickness of 0.5-1.0mm more than the mesh wire.

3. Binding wire is generally smaller than netting wire, with 2.2mm being the most common size.

(4) Surface Treatment

Electroplated zinc. Zinc coating of 10g/m². Poor corrosion resistance.

2. Hot-dip galvanized. Zinc coating can reach up to 300g/m². Strong corrosion resistance.

3. Galfan (zinc-aluminum alloy). This is divided into two types of materials: zinc-5% aluminum-mixed rare earth alloy wire and zinc-10% aluminum-mixed rare earth alloy wire.

4. PVC Coated. The coating thickness typically covers 1.0mm, for instance: after coating, 2.7mm becomes 3.7mm.
