Some residents have reported that the beautifully designed waste sorting houses in our community are more for show than for use. No one is using them to dispose of garbage, and what was meant to be a facility for waste sorting has now become an ornament, a waste of resources. In some areas, the waste sorting houses are highly utilized and have received many positive reviews and user appreciation. Yet, in other places, these houses have become mere decorations. Why is that?

Partly due to insufficient local waste segregation promotion and a lack of environmental awareness among people, who are yet to realize the impact of improper waste disposal on their lives and the environment, they adopt a casual attitude towards the waste segregation rooms, failing to actively sort their waste. This leads to the neglect of the waste rooms. It is imperative for local authorities to promote and popularize waste segregation, fostering public environmental consciousness.

A portion of the issue is due to the inherent problems within the waste sorting rooms. Different manufacturers of waste sorting rooms represent varying quality of products. Some opt for cheaper options, leading to subpar quality in the waste rooms, such as: card readers being unresponsive, failing to read cards consistently; lids of the waste bins not opening; and no response at all. This indicates that selecting a high-quality waste sorting room requires choosing a professional and reliable manufacturer first.
