The steel flap gates in the hydraulic steel dam are securely connected using hinge methods, eliminating the severe issue of being floated and washed away by floods. The hydraulic system further enhances this by preventing敲打 phenomena. Due to the rationality of the structural design, the distribution of forces on the gate is balanced, meeting the requirements for large spans and high gates.
In the same span and height, it can significantly reduce the amount of steel required, eliminating the need for the door slot structure at the top of the weir and the expensive lifting and lowering equipment; as all components are produced outside the dam, they only enter the construction site for installation, the hydraulic system can be installed under the water storage condition, thus greatly shortening the construction period and reducing the complexity and difficulty of the dam construction. Depending on the on-site installation conditions, the hydraulic baffle steel dam may sometimes require special support brackets.
Especially suitable for rivers with high sand, stone, tree, bamboo content, and cold regions where traditional rubber dams are not feasible. It allows for flexible adjustment of dam height and overflow, controlling upstream water levels and discharge volumes. Construction is simplified, with a shorter project timeline. Compared to traditional sluices, it reduces pier structures, numerous metal components, and gate opening and closing equipment, minimizing concrete work and significantly cutting costs.
