The working principle of the hydraulic flip gate in a hydraulic steel dam: The dam spans a large area with a simple structure, reliable support, and ease of construction; the hydraulic system operates with high sensitivity, can be controlled by buoy switches, achieving automated operation and unmanned management; the dam can fundamentally maintain the original riverbed, allowing for the free flow of floodwater, upstream sediment, pebbles, and debris without obstructing water flow.
Compared to traditional sluices and similar rubber dams, our design boasts higher flow capacity and greater discharge volume. It is particularly suitable for rivers with high sand, stone, tree, bamboo content, and cold regions where rubber dams are not ideal. It allows for adjustable dam height and overflow, controlling upstream water levels and discharge. Construction is simplified with a shorter timeline, reducing the need for pier abutments, numerous metal structural components, and gate opening and closing equipment, resulting in less concrete work and significant cost savings.
The project's durability is longer than that of rubber dams, as it only requires normal protection of the baffle surface structure and hydraulic system. It is a low-head water-retaining structure, widely used in irrigation, hydropower generation, and urban beautification. Particularly concerning the development of urban river terraces, it can create expansive water surfaces, enhance the urban scenic belt, and easily form waterfall landscapes on the dam body, effectively improving the ecological and cultural environment and advancing the social environment grade of the city.
