The hinge serves as the pivot point during the opening and closing of the gate leaf. The fixed part of the hinge is secured to the base plate with anchor bolts, while the movable part is connected to the gate leaf structure with bolts. It withstands the total water pressure, the weight of the gate leaf, and the external forces such as the opening and closing forces during the opening process, making it a critical component for the opening and closing of the flip bucket gate.
The maximum load of the hinge should occur when the gate is just opening, as this gate withstands water pressure, the force to open the gate, and the weight of the gate itself. Each gate opening has multiple hinges, distributed at different positions based on the width of the opening.
The gate opening utilizes hydraulic actuators at both ends, featuring a horizontal hinge support structure for the steel坝 hydraulic actuators. The support hinges are equipped with bronze-based self-lubricating bearings, while the oil rod heads are fitted with lubricated joint bearings. The oscillating view point along the radial centerline of the joint bearings compensates for the installation errors between the actuators, the gate opening, and its embedded components. The joint bearings are designed with excellent sealing. One end of the actuator is connected to the bottom shaft arm, driven by the actuator's piston rod to move the arm, thereby completing the opening and closing of the gate body.
