Methods for preventing and removing limescale generally include the following three approaches:
One: Mechanical Scale Removal - Mechanical scale removal is a method that uses a flexible shaft cleaner to descale condensers with steel cooling tubes, particularly suitable for vertical shell-and-tube condensers.
Operation Method:
1Remove the refrigerant from the condenser.
2Close all valves connecting the condenser to the refrigeration system.
3Cooling water supply to the condenser is normal.
4The umbrella gear-like scraper connected to a flexible shaft rotates from top to bottom inside the condenser's vertical pipe to scrape off scale, utilizing recirculating cooling water to dissipate the heat generated by friction between the scraper and the pipe wall, while simultaneously washing away the removed scale, rust, and other debris into a settling pond.
Section 2: Chemical Acid Cleaning Method: Use a prepared weak acidic descaling agent to clean the condenser, causing scale to detach, and enhancing the heat transfer efficiency of the condenser.
The method of operation is:
1Prepare the descaling solution in the acid wash tank, start the acid wash pump, and circulate the descaling agent solution through the condenser.24After an hour, generally speaking24After a few hours, the scale is mostly removed.
2After shutting down the acid washing pump, use a round steel brush to scrub the inside walls of the condenser tube back and forth, and then rinse clean with fresh water.

Three, Electronic Magnetic Water Scale Removal: The working principle of the electronic magnetic water descaler is to dissolve calcium, magnesium, and other salts in the cooling water passing through the condenser into positive and negative ions in normal temperature.
When cooling water passes through the lateral magnetic field of a magnetic water treatment device at a certain speed, the dissolved calcium and magnesium ions gain induced electrical energy, causing a change in their charge state. The electrostatic attraction between ions is disrupted, altering the conditions for crystallization. This makes the crystal structure loose, reducing tensile and compressive strength, and prevents the formation of strong adhesive scale. Instead, it becomes loose sludge that is flushed out with the cooling water flow.
