The smoke damper door serves as a bridge connecting the boiler to the FGD and wet electrostatic precipitator units, greatly impacting both the boiler's operation and the lifespan of the FGD and wet electrostatic precipitator. Technical requirements to be followed in designing the smoke damper door:
The FGD import smoke damper door is installed within the import flue of the FGD system, while the wet electrostatic precipitator (WESP) exhaust smoke damper door is installed within the WESP exhaust flue. Both are composed of double-layer smoke damper doors. When closed, the doors connect with sealed air between the layers to prevent smoke from leaking into the FGD and WESP systems, ensuring that anti-corrosion linings and other components within remain undamaged. To ensure all damper doors maintain an airtight seal under design pressure and temperature, they are equipped with a sealed air gap and a sealing air station (including a sealing fan and a standby fan). Generally, it is necessary to maintain the sealed air pressure at 500 to 1250 Pa higher than the flue gas side pressure. Due to the less than perfect blade sealing, to prevent cold air from entering the flue gas system and causing low-temperature corrosion, a secondary electric heater is required at the outlet of the sealing fan. As the air density changes after heating, this addresses the dew point issue, preventing acid corrosion and also helps to avoid mechanical damage caused by uneven heating.
The Double Slatted Door is composed of two slatted windows, each connected to several bearings. The two slats are fixed on a single axis. This type of door features a sealing strip made of special nickel-based alloy, installed around the door slats, and incorporates a sealing air system, allowing sealed air to enter between the two slatted windows.

Key maintenance and care points for smoke damper door equipment:
The shutter door is driven by an electro-hydraulic mechanism and requires regular application of hydraulic oil.
If abnormal noises and other malfunctions are detected on the bulkhead door, they should be checked promptly and the manufacturer notified for necessary action.
3. When the baffle door is closed, it should be locked with the locking pin to prevent accidental operation, but don't forget to pull it out before opening the baffle door; the unit is in the locked position upon shipment (each unit includes two locking pins).
4. The soft sealing parts of the shutter door are sealed with silicone plates, which have a lifespan of two years. After two years, there is no need to replace the silicone plates; however, if maintenance conditions permit, the silicone resin plate (made of stainless steel for the seal and bolts) can also be replaced.
