Cable tray systems, as a supplementary project for wiring engineering, currently lack specialized guidelines. Different manufacturers' standard procedures vary greatly in universality. Therefore, the design and selection process should be based on the types and quantities of various low-voltage systems' cables, ensuring the appropriate tray is chosen.

Determine Routing: Based on the construction layout plan, the routing of cable trays is determined by considering the installation status of air conditioning and electrical pipelines, ease of maintenance, and the density of cable routes. Indoors, they should be mounted as close as possible to the walls, columns, beams, and floor slabs of the structure. When using an integrated pipe gallery, they should be parallel mounted on one side or above the pipeline, and efforts should be made to avoid crossings of the main lines and branch lines as much as possible. If there are no other pipe supports available, new (support) columns must be erected.

 

Load Calculation: The calculation of the cable weight per unit length on the longitudinal section of the cable bridge main line. Determining the bridge width: Based on the number of cable strips, cable diameter, and cable spacing, determine the type, standard, arm length, column length and distance, width, and layer count of the cable bridge.

 

Installation Method: Determine the mounting method of the bridge according to the site's installation conditions, choosing from suspended, upright, side-wall, or hybrid types. Connector and fastening components are generally provided as a set. Additionally, select the corresponding cover plate based on the bridge structure to draw the flat and section views of the cable bridge, and in some areas, a space view should also be drawn. A materials list should be prepared. When used with power cable bridge structures, the power and low-voltage cables should be placed on opposite sides, with a partition plate used in the center.
