The cableway can span mountains, deep valleys, rivers, and lakes. Not only can it transport passengers and goods, but it can also carry traffic vehicles in cages suspended from the cableway across rivers, mountains, and deep valleys. Currently, China has constructed cableways at some microwave stations, television broadcast stations, scenic spots, and industrial and mining enterprises to facilitate transportation and tourism.
