  High-strength self-leveling mortarThis dry powder product is made by using special cement, sieving aggregates, dry powder resin, and various modified additives. When mixed with water, it forms a fluid slurry with good flowability, which can rapidly spread and self-level under manual assistance. Here are the construction precautions and techniques for the application of high-strength self-leveling mortar.

High-performance Self-leveling Mortar Preparation and Points to Note for Construction

1. Surface cleaning, painting, or application of specialized management agents to enhance the bond between high-performance self-leveling mortar and the substrate.

Before applying the primer, the original surface should be smooth with no cracks; the glass fiber cloth should be flat. The application of the primer should be meticulous, ensuring an even coating.

3. Begin mixing the high-strength self-leveling mortar material.

Place the cement bags on the drum, crosswise down, and ensure they are not dusty.

5. Mix thoroughly with a special mixing hammer. Of course, there should be water in front of the drum. The water-cement ratio is strictly regulated. Please adhere to the regulations.

6. Evenly pour the mixed high-strength self-leveling mortar onto the floor.

High-Strength Self-Leveling Mortar Construction Technique

1. Primer: Dilute the primer with water at a ratio of 1:4 and apply it evenly. One kilogram of base oil covers an area of 5 square meters. Apply self-leveling primer to concrete surfaces treated with a paintbrush or roller. On old surfaces, apply two layers of primer. After the second layer dries (approximately 30 minutes interval), apply one more coat. The primer usage is about 0.18 kg/m², covering about 110 m² per bucket. After the primer dries, proceed with the self-leveling operation.

2. Slurry Mixing: Weigh 7kg and place it in the mixer. While mixing, gradually add the epoxy resin, allowing it to level out until the particles are uniform and the slurry has good fluidity. Continue mixing for 3-4 minutes. Even out the slurry before use by allowing it to settle for about 10 minutes. When mixing two bags at once, first add 14kg, but only put in one bag, mix until the particles cannot be found, then add the second bag.

3. V-Blade Coating Surface: After the primer is semi-dry, pour the slurry and use a toothed cutting blade or a scraper for even spreading. Control the thickness of the thin-layer material, and the process of using a de-airing roller can transform it into a high-smooth flooring. Mix thoroughly, pour the self-leveling concrete mortar onto the sub-base, apply a single coat to the desired thickness, then level it with a dragon knife or a specialized toothed scraper. Use a system with pressure rollers to flatten, and opt for self-leveling. Once condensation appears on the surface, there is no need for re-coating.

4. Maintenance: Walkable for 6-8 hours at 20°C, and for 1-2 days at temperatures below 5°C. After curing, seal with wax or apply a brushable surface treatment agent. The product can be used after two weeks, and the maintenance period must not be less than one week.
