Welding Technology

The entire rod should be free of any cracks, incomplete welds, continuous pores, undercutting, etc., with smooth and even weld seams, no bumps or undulations, and no welding defects. A welding flaw detection report must be provided.

2. Appliance Door

Electric door features plasma cutting.

b. The electrical door and lamp body are seamlessly integrated; there are no welded protrusions at the door opening, ensuring high structural strength.

c. Features reasonable operating space; electrical installation accessories included inside the door.

d. The gap between the door and the rod should not exceed 1 millimeter, and it should have excellent waterproof performance.

e. Equipped with a specialized fastening system and excellent anti-theft features, the fixing bolts are opened with a non-standard tool.

f. Electrical doors should have high interchangeability, with a reasonable operating space inside, and provide 3% of electrical door accessories.

g. A securely welded M8×30 bolt is visible at the lower left of the lamp post's working door, which is heat-dipped zinc treated along with the post for connecting the cable's PE wire.

3. Hot-Dip Galvanizing Process

The internal and external surfaces should be treated with hot-dip galvanizing to a thickness of ≥75um, conforming to GB/T 13912-92 standards. The designed service life should be no less than 30 years. The galvanized surface should be smooth and aesthetically pleasing, with a consistent color. It should not peel or flake off after impact testing. A galvanizing inspection report is provided.

4. Powder Coating Process

Outdoor high-purity polyester powder coating should be used, with the color being white (subject to customer requirements). The plastic layer maintains stable quality, resists fading and peeling. It has strong adhesion, is resistant to intense sunlight and UV rays, suitable for cities along lakes and key saline areas. The design life exceeds 30 years, with a thickness of ≥80um, and meets the ASTM D3359-83 standard. A spray coating inspection report is provided. Spray coating protection requirements: film thickness not less than 40um, strong adhesion, no flaking or peeling. The surface is smooth and even, with a consistent color.

5. Design Capabilities

a. Provide a rod load calculation based on the light pole design drawing, catering to the wind velocity tolerance requirements.

b. The strength and surface structure of the extruded square steel used for the rod body must comply with the relevant Chinese standards.

Seal the lamp post to prevent moisture from entering.

6. Verticality Inspection

After the lamp post is erected by the street light manufacturer, a theodolite is used to check the vertical alignment between the lamp post and the horizontal surface, which should be less than or equal to 0.2%.

7. Appearance of the rod body

The design and dimensions meet requirements, with an overall elegant and generous appearance. The rod surface is smooth and consistent, with even coloration. The galvanized layer is smooth and flat, and the powder coating has strong adhesion without peeling off.

All fixed bolts and nuts, etc., are made of stainless steel (except for anchor bolts and nuts).

9. The cable passage inside the light pole is unobstructed, making it easy to thread cables. It does not have sharp edges, burrs, teeth, or similar features to prevent damage to the cables.

10. The lighting pole meets lightning protection and grounding requirements, 2 Environmental temperature: -15 to 50 degrees Celsius; wind speed: 60 m/s; earthquake resistance: 8 levels; corrosion resistance: 30 years.

Categories and Applicable Scope:

Monitor poles, also known as camera light poles, are typically categorized as Y-type, T-type, or R-type. Specific specifications can be customized according to customer requirements. Signal poles are commonly made from high-quality steel plates, shaped into an octagon or hexagon using a large bending machine, or assembled and welded from rectangular tubes. The surface is treated with hot-dip galvanizing for corrosion resistance and then coated with plastic paint. They are suitable for urban roads, expressways, elevated bridge intersections, or T-intersections.

1. Basic Structure: Traffic signal poles and sign poles should consist of a vertical rod, connecting flange, shaped support arm, mounting flange, and pre-buried steel structure.

2. The upright or transverse arm is made of straight seam steel pipe or seamless steel pipe; the connection end of the upright with the transverse arm uses the same steel pipe as the transverse arm, with a welding reinforcing plate for protection; the upright is connected to the foundation with a flange and pre-buried bolts, with a welding reinforcing plate for protection; the connection method between the transverse arm and the upright end is a flange connection, with a welding reinforcing plate for reinforcement.

3. All welds on the uprights and their main components must meet the standard requirements, with smooth and even surfaces, flat and smooth welds that are firm and reliable, free from pores, slag, cold joints, and incomplete welds.

4. The upright poles and their main components are equipped with lightning protection. The non-electric metal parts of the lighting fixtures form an integral unit, connected to the grounding wire through grounding bolts on the housing.

5. Poles and their main components should be equipped with a reliable grounding device, with the grounding resistance not to exceed 10 ohms.
