Gaoyang "Gongmian" noodles have been famous since the Zhenguan era of the Tang Dynasty and during the Ming and Qing dynasties. As early as the early 18th century, the county government selected this type of dried noodles to offer to the royal family, hence the name "Gongmian." Made entirely by traditional hand-pulling and natural drying, they have a hole in the middle and are also known as "hollow noodles." This product uses high-quality wheat flour, refined vegetable oil, and refined salt as the main ingredients. It is made through 15 processes of pulling. The noodles are thin as silk, hollow like bamboo, easy to cook without becoming mushy, and do not fall apart when reheated. They are soft, crisp, and nutritious.
