Installation Direction:During installation, the Y-type filter must have the water flow direction aligned with the arrow on the valve, which can be mounted horizontally or vertically.
2. Sealability InspectionAfter installation, check if the filter is leaking. If a leak is detected, it may be due to a damaged sealing washer, which requires replacement.
3. Pressure Gauge InstallationPressure gauges should be installed at the inlet and outlet of the Y-type filter to monitor the pressure on both sides of the pipeline filter for normalcy.
4. Effluent and Backflush OperationsTo facilitate effluent discharge and cleaning of debris from the filter screen, Y-type filters should be designed with bypass piping. During normal operation, the bypass valve must be closed. When effluent discharge or backwashing of the filter screen is required, the inlet and outlet valves should be closed, and the bypass valve opened for pressure-free discharge. To thoroughly rinse away debris at the bottom of the cylinder and any dirt adhered to the filter screen, the outlet valve of the pipeline filter, which has been closed, can be slightly opened.
Flow rates are appropriately controlled, allowing the majority of water to continue recirculating, while a small portion returns to the filter for backflushing.
Regular CleaningThe Y-type filter requires regular cleaning after a period of use to maintain its filtration efficiency. The frequency of cleaning depends on operating conditions, typically not more than once a week.
6. Maintenance and ReplacementFor Y-type filters required in high humidity and high-temperature environments, filters with high-temperature resistance must be selected. For biological cleanrooms, filters with metal frames should be used, and their surfaces should be resistant to rust.
7. Environmental AdaptabilityThe Y-type filter should be installed on a stable foundation and avoid placement in an unstable environment. Before maintenance, remove the filter screen after confirming there is no gas inside the filter.
Wash with soap and water, then air dry naturally, and reassemble.
