Introduction to Direct Pipe Pressure Balanced Bellows Compensator:
The expansion joint consists of two working bellows connected by a working transition tube, a balancing bellows, and a working rod, etc. It is mainly used for absorbing combined axial and lateral displacements and balancing the pressure thrust of the bellows. Our company's straight pipe pressure-balanced bellows expansion joints are optimized for design according to the American EJMA standard. The products are widely used in smelting, power plants, industrial equipment manufacturing, and pipeline systems for engineering, effectively ensuring the high safety performance of pressure pipes during the transportation of various harmful, toxic, flammable, and explosive media, and preventing leaks from causing environmental pollution in oceans, skies, and factories. The product features include high-temperature resistance, high-pressure resistance, corrosion resistance, fatigue resistance, and wear resistance.
Pipe Pressure-Balanced Bellows Characteristics: Composed of two working waves, one balancing wave twice the area of the working wave, and two groups of force transfer rods. The bellows bears the internal pressure thrust through force-bearing components (large rods or bellows tongue). This compensator is mainly used for compensating the axial displacement of piping systems. Adding another group of working waves can absorb slight lateral displacements, but cannot absorb angular displacements. It is generally used in high-pressure straight pipelines, with the pressure thrust supported by the bellows' structural components. The fixed support for the pipeline only considers the elastic force of the bellows and the frictional resistance of the pipeline.
Direct pressure balancing bellows applications: Often used in high-level vertical pipelines or large-diameter pipelines where large thrust fixed supports are not suitable.
As shown in the figure, this is a typical installation method for a straight pipe pressure balanced bellows expansion joint. The sensitive load requirements of the two equipment necessitate very small pressure and displacement in the flanged attachment section. When the straight pipe pressure balanced bellows expansion joint absorbs all the axial displacement, the two equipment can elongate due to temperature changes. If the diameter of the pipeline or expansion joint between the equipment is greater than four times the pipe diameter, a straight pipe pressure balanced bellows expansion joint should be used.
