ALC stands for Autoclaved Lightweight Concrete, a type of high-performance autoclaved aerated concrete. ALC panels are made from fly ash (or silica sand), cement, lime, and other main raw materials, and are formed into multi-porous concrete sheets through high-pressure steam curing (with reinforced steel bars treated for added strength). These panels can be used as both wall materials and roof panels, representing a new building material with superior performance. ALC panels first appeared in Europe and have a production and application history of over four decades in Japan and other regions. Domestic manufacturers primarily source their production technologies and equipment from Japan and Germany.

This material boasts excellent thermal insulation properties [λ=0.13 W/(m·K)] and superior heat retention capabilities [heat storage coefficient S=2.75 W/(m²·K)]. With appropriate thickness, it can be used in cold regions with high thermal insulation requirements, as well as in hot-summer and cold-winter regions or hot-summer and warm-winter regions with high heat retention demands, meeting the standards for energy conservation.
Sound Insulation: The material is a porous one composed of a large number of uniform, non-interconnected tiny air holes, offering excellent soundproofing properties. An average sound insulation rating of 40.8dB is achieved with a 100mm thick ALC panel, while a 150mm thick ALC panel achieves an average of 45.8dB.
Fire Resistance: ALC panels are non-combustible inorganic materials with excellent fire resistance. As wall panels, 100mm thick boards have a fire resistance limit of 3.23 hours; 150mm thick boards exceed 4 hours; 50mm thick boards protect steel beams with a fire resistance limit over 3 hours; and 50mm thick boards protect steel columns with a fire resistance limit over 4 hours. All exceed the first-level fire resistance standard.
Durability: ALC is an inorganic silicate material that does not age and boasts excellent durability, with a lifespan that can match that of various buildings.
Freezing Resistance: Excellent freeze resistance; after freeze-thaw testing, the quality loss is less than 1.5% (<5%), and the strength loss is less than 5% (<20%).
Waterproofing: Excellent waterproofing, 5 times better than standard bricks.
Environmental Performance: The material is odorless and free of harmful gas emissions, making it a green and environmentally friendly material.
Construction: The ALC board production is industrialized and standardized, installation is industrialized, it can be sawed, cut, planed, and drilled, with dry construction and fast speed.
ALC panels feature a comprehensive application support system, including connectors, grout, patching powder, and primer, etc.
Simple construction and low cost: This material eliminates the need for plastering, reducing the cost by 20-25 yuan per square meter; it can be directly used for puttying and spraying paint.
