Porous roadways, as a new type of ecological road, are increasingly attracting attention, particularly from the industry. These roads are paved with eco-friendly permeable stones, allowing rainwater to quickly seep into the ground, effectively replenishing groundwater, mitigating the urban heat island effect, and balancing the city's ecosystem. The permeable surfaces also allow for the passage of "earthly energy," keeping the ground warm in winter and cool in summer, and facilitating water permeation during the rainy season and snowmelt in winter, thereby enhancing the comfort of urban living. Additionally, due to the high porosity and large surface area of the permeable ground, it has a strong adsorption capacity for dust, reducing dust pollution and also lowering noise levels. Basalt slag is particularly suitable for use as the permeable road aggregate due to its quality.
