Permeable roadways, as a new type of ecological road, are increasingly attracting attention from the industry. These roads are paved with ecological permeable stones, allowing rainwater to quickly infiltrate the ground surface, effectively replenishing groundwater, mitigating the urban heat island effect, and balancing the urban ecosystem. The permeable surface also allows for the passage of "earth's energy," making the ground warm in winter and cool in summer, facilitating water penetration during the rainy season, and snow melting in winter, thus enhancing the comfort of urban living. Moreover, due to their high porosity and large surface area, permeable surfaces have a strong adsorption capacity for dust, reducing dust pollution and noise levels. Basalt chips are particularly suitable as high-quality paving stones for permeable roads.
