(Washing: Adjust the temperature of the oxidized wax in the saponification tank to around 85°C, using steam or air to achieve a material churning state. When the material temperature in the saponification tank falls below 85°C, use direct steam to stir. When the material temperature exceeds 85°C, switch to air stirring. Stir for at least 40 minutes. After stirring stops, maintain the temperature at 85-90°C for sedimentation. After 30 minutes of sedimentation, drain the wastewater and intermediate layer from the bottom of the saponification tank. Test the acid value of the oxidized wax after washing until the wastewater pH is slightly acidic. If not up to standard, repeat the washing process.)
(2). Saponification: Qualified oxidized wax from the saponification kettle is heated with steam to 95-100°C, while adding approximately 35% of the material volume of water. With the material boiling, the prepared alkali solution is added to the oxidized wax. The amount of alkali added is calculated as follows: per ton of oxidized wax = acid value × 1.8 × 0.71 × 1.03 (excess alkali) ÷ concentration ÷ 1000. After sufficient alkali is added, the saponification process is carried out for one hour, followed by a further saponification cycle for more than one hour. Once the saponification is complete, the pH value is tested to be around 13; if not, additional alkali is added for continued saponification.
(3). Separation: After saponification, maintain the material in the saponification tank at a warm state for at least 3 hours, then transfer the saponified liquid to the saponified liquid storage tank. After a static period exceeding 24 hours, proceed to the next process.
