The water in the wastewater pond primarily contains acidic and alkaline substances, as well as toxic and harmful materials. During the water treatment process, temperature changes occur, making it urgent to implement anti-seepage measures at the bottom of the wastewater pond. Consequently, new eco-friendly anti-seepage materials such as HDPE geomembranes and composite geomembranes have emerged. Currently, water treatment plants typically use reinforced concrete and earthen pond structures, but these have drawbacks such as high construction costs, complex construction techniques, long project timelines, and a tendency to crack, especially when applied to larger ponds.
