ND steel is the most ideal steel for "resistance to low-temperature dew point corrosion" both domestically and internationally, widely used in the manufacturing of economizers (energy savers), air preheaters, heat exchangers, and evaporators that operate in high-humidity flue gases, to combat dew point corrosion in flue gases. ND steel also exhibits resistance to chloride ion corrosion. The main evaluation criteria for 09CrCuSb (ND steel) seamless steel tubes/plates (immersed in 70° 50% H2SO4 solution for 24 hours) is a corrosion rate not exceeding 14mg/cm²·h, which is 1.84 times that of Japanese CR1R steel, 2.97 times that of 1Cr18Ni9 steel, 8.63 times that of Corten steel, and 14.11 times that of Q235B steel, when compared to carbon steel, imported Japanese steel, and stainless steel in terms of corrosion resistance.
