Energy Saver: ND Steel Advantages

ND steel is the most ideal steel for "withstanding low-temperature dew point corrosion" both domestically and internationally, widely used in the manufacturing of devices such as economizers (energy savers), air preheaters, heat exchangers, and evaporators that operate in high-humidity flue gases to resist dew point corrosion in flue gases. ND steel also exhibits resistance to chloride ion corrosion. The main evaluation criteria for seamless steel tubes and plates made of 09CrCuSb (ND steel) are that the corrosion rate does not exceed 14mg/cm²·h after soaking in a 70°50% H2SO4 solution for 24 hours, which is 1.84 times that of Japanese CR1R steel, 2.97 times that of 1Cr18Ni9 steel, 8.63 times that of Corten steel, and 14.11 times that of Q235B steel when compared to carbon steel, imported Japanese steel of the same type, and stainless steel in terms of corrosion resistance. The superior dew point corrosion resistance and very high cost-performance ratio of ND steel make it a perfect substitute for stainless steel, and the best material surpassing stainless steel in terms of dew point corrosion resistance.
