Low-temperature storage tanks are commonly used in the industrial gas sector, with a broad range of applications across industries such as steel mills, chemical plants, oil refineries, food processing, and aerospace. These industries require gases, and industrially, gases like oxygen, nitrogen, and argon, among others, are produced by air separation equipment. This equipment compresses and liquefies air, separating it based on the different boiling points of oxygen, nitrogen, and argon, and then storing the gases in low-temperature storage tanks.

Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) storage tanks consist of the tank body, instruments, pipelines, valves, and so on. These storage tanks are equipped with two types of liquid intake methods—upper and lower—and can be self-selected for use based on actual conditions.

The inner tank of the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) storage tank is equipped with a safety system device featuring dual safety valves. Under normal operation, one set is in service and the other in standby. If the working safety valve trips, the manual pressure relief valve is immediately opened to release pressure to the highest working pressure of the tank. Simultaneously, the safety device is swiftly switched to the standby system via the manual handle, effectively ensuring the tank's safety. This safety system device consists of safety valves, explosion-proof devices, vent valves, and three-way ball valves, not only enhancing pipeline welding but also boasting excellent fire and static electricity prevention structures. Additionally, the safety relief openings on the housing are designed to ensure the overall safety and reliability of the equipment. The low-temperature pipelines are centrally extracted for ease of operation and control, and the extraction outlets are constructed with Dura tubes to accommodate low-temperature requirements and reduce stress caused by thermal expansion and contraction, ensuring the tank's safety. The vacuum valve is sealed with three "O" rings, effectively guaranteeing the reliability of the sandwich seal, and is made entirely of stainless steel with a compact design. The top of the LNG storage tank features a research and development suspended structure for easy transportation, lifting, and installation. The unique design of the manhole ensures the cleanliness inside the inner tank when it is sealed. Vacuum isolation valves and combined vacuum gauges are used on the LNG storage tank for measuring and maintaining the vacuum level of the tank's sandwich, extending the tank's lifespan and improving its quality. The LNG storage tank is equipped with a level gauge and pressure gauge for local display of liquid level and pressure.

Cautionary Notes

1. Cylinders must be stored in well-ventilated areas, with a distance of no less than 1.5 meters from any flame or heat source. Cylinders are strictly prohibited from being heated with fire, scalded with boiling water, or left in direct sunlight. Regularly check the airtightness of cylinder valves and pipe joints, ensuring no gas leaks. Leaks can be detected using soap water, and it is strictly forbidden to test for leaks with an open flame.

2. When lighting, ignite the primer first, followed by opening the gas; do not reverse the order. There should be a person in attendance during use, and do not leave to prevent boiling water from spilling and extinguishing the flame, which could cause the liquefied gas to leak and cause an explosion. After using the gas cylinder, the valve must be tightly closed to prevent gas leakage.

3. Do not exhaust the liquefied gas inside the cylinder; a certain residual pressure must be maintained. The residual pressure should generally be greater than 49.03 kPa (i.e., 0.5 kg/cm², gauge pressure) to prevent air from entering the cylinder. After the LPG is used up, the remaining residue in the cylinder is also a flammable substance and should not be poured out. Prevent fires from occurring due to the leakage and evaporation of the residue.

4. LPG cylinders are pressurized containers that require proper maintenance and regular inspections. Prevent the cylinders from falling or being struck during handling and use. Do not use metal tools to strike the valve for opening. Protect them from direct sunlight and prolonged exposure to rain. Cylinders are typically inspected every 2 years.

5. Although the explosive range of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) is not very wide, due to its lower limit, it can easily ignite and explode upon leakage. Moreover, since LPG is heavier than air, it tends to flow downwards in the event of a leak, accumulating in low-lying areas and posing a hidden hazard for gas explosions. Therefore, in areas prone to gas leaks, relying solely on window ventilation is insufficient; attention must also be given to proper ventilation at the lower level.

6. When liquid gas leakage is detected indoors, immediately open windows and doors for ventilation, allowing it to disperse in the direction away from any open flame. Strictly prohibit any fire nearby until the fault is resolved and the distinctive odor dissipates before use. Dispose of any spilled liquid on the ground by covering it with sand and soil before removing it to a safe location. In the event of a gas cylinder fire, promptly close the valve, move it to an open area outdoors, and extinguish the fire using dry powder extinguisher, carbon dioxide extinguisher, or by covering it with a damp sack.

7. Educate children not to tamper with gas cylinders carelessly, and users must be aware of the safety knowledge for using gas cylinders.
