Low-temperature storage tanks are primarily used in the industrial gas sector, with a vast range of applications across various industries. These include steel mills, chemical plants, oil refineries, food processing, and aerospace, all of which require gases. Industrial gases such as oxygen, nitrogen, and argon, which are in high demand, are separated from air by air separation equipment, which compresses and liquefies the air and then separates the gases based on their different boiling points, before storing them in low-temperature storage tanks.

LNG storage tanks are composed of the tank body, instruments, pipelines, valves, etc. These tanks are designed with two liquid intake methods: from the top and the bottom, allowing for selection based on specific conditions.

The inner tank of the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) storage tank is equipped with a safety system device featuring dual safety valves. Under normal operation, one set is in service and the other in standby. Should the working safety valve trip, the manual pressure relief valve is immediately opened to release pressure to the maximum working pressure of the tank. Simultaneously, the safety device is quickly switched to the standby system via the manual handle, effectively ensuring the tank's safety. This safety system device consists of safety valves, explosion-proof devices, vent valves, and three-way ball valves, not only ensuring pipeline welding quality but also featuring excellent fire and static electricity prevention structures. Additionally, the safety relief openings on the casing are designed to ensure the overall safety and reliability of the equipment. The low-temperature pipelines are centrally extracted for ease of operation and control, and the extraction outlets are constructed with Dura tubes to meet low-temperature requirements and reduce stress caused by thermal expansion and contraction, ensuring the tank's safety. The vacuum valves use three "O" rings for sealing, effectively guaranteeing the reliability of the sandwich sealing, and are made of full stainless steel with a compact design. The top of the LNG storage tank features a research and development suspended structure for easy transportation, lifting, and installation. The unique manhole design ensures the cleanliness of the interior when the inner tank is sealed. Vacuum isolation valves and combined vacuum gauges are used on the LNG storage tank for measuring the vacuum degree of the sandwich and for maintenance, extending the tank's lifespan and enhancing its quality. The LNG storage tank is equipped with a level gauge and pressure gauge for local display of liquid level and pressure.



Low-temperature storage tank structure:

A low-temperature storage tank is a compact storage facility equipped with various components (valves, safety systems, etc.) for storing low-temperature liquids. The tank consists of a carbon steel vacuum shell and a pressure vessel inside it. The tank can operate at low to moderate pressures according to actual design requirements. Burst discs and double-acting safety valves protect the tank in case of excess pressure. The safety relief device is designed to protect the internal pressure vessel and vacuum shell, and its use and type are determined by GB150 and the "Fixed Container Regulations," including a double-acting safety relief valve and a burst disc assembly for protecting the internal pressure vessel, and a burst cap for protecting the vacuum shell (shell). The tank is designed and manufactured for safety, reliable operation, and durability (can operate faultlessly for years). Strict adherence to proper safety and operating procedures is required when operating the tank.


High safety requirements. As the tank stores low-temperature liquids, in the event of an accident, the refrigerated liquid would volatilize in large quantities, with the vaporization amount being approximately 300 times that of the refrigerated state, forming explosive gas clouds in the atmosphere. Therefore, specifications such as API, BS, etc., all require the use of double-walled tank structures and the application of sealing concepts. In the event of a leak in the first layer of the tank, the second layer can completely seal the leaked liquid and evaporated gas, ensuring storage safety.
