In case of minor leaks or internal leaks in valves, they absorb nearby environmental heat, causing rapid condensation and frost formation at the leak point, which can severely freeze. When exposed to high heat from the nearby environment or large-scale leaks absorbing nearby energy, the volume of low-temperature liquids expands rapidly due to quick vaporization. At 0°C and 101.3 KPa pressure, the volume of gas resulting from the vaporization of 1L of low-temperature liquid: nitrogen 674L, oxygen 800L, argon 780L. Inside sealed containers or pipelines, increased internal pressure due to the vaporization of low-temperature liquids can easily cause overpressure explosions. In the environment around low-temperature liquid storage tanks, vaporization of leaked low-temperature liquids can easily form rich gas areas. High concentrations of nitrogen, argon, or carbon dioxide can easily cause asphyxiation injuries. Additionally, high oxygen concentrations can also lead to oxygen-rich injuries. Oxygen is a strong oxidizer with intense oxidizing properties. Liquid oxygen, when close to combustible materials, can easily ignite upon contact with an open flame; contact can also cause explosive decompression due to shock or impact; mixing with combustible materials poses latent explosive hazards. Liquid oxygen can adhere to clothing fabrics, and upon ignition, it can easily cause a flash fire, causing harm to individuals.
